physical abuse

Physical abuse is the most commonly known form of abuse. It allows an abusive person to get, and keep, a victim under control; instilling an environment of constant fear. If physical abuse is present early in the relationship, it will most likely get worse over time. If there was no physical abuse in the beginning of the relationship, it may begin to occur when the victim is pregnant or when the victim is considering leaving the relationship.
